A forward-thinking and continuously growing company places great importance on standards and regulations. That’s why for us at SPL INDUSTRIES, obtaining quality and safety certifications is not an option, but a must.
Thanks to the hard work of our professionals, in October 2015 we acquired our first ISO 9001:2008 certificate for our quality management system. This allowed us to raise the quality level in every aspect, with controls designed to guarantee the highest quality in our supplies and provide an efficient and functional customer service.
Given the excellent results achieved, in October 2018 we worked towards obtaining the updated version of the standard, ISO 9001:2015.
We don’t treat health and safety any differently. In fact, since May 2022, we’ve been working to acquire the ISO 45001 certification, with the goal of completing it by December 2020.
This standard replaces the current OHSAS 18001 and aims to implement an organizational system to prevent workplace injuries and occupational diseases.
It includes requirements such as: identifying risks associated with work activities, developing an SSL (Safety, Security, and Health) policy and related objectives, implementing preventive controls, evaluating and improving SSL indices, and involving workers.
Recently, we at SPL INDUSTRIES decided to include the IATF 16949:2016 certification in our “certification plan,” which is related to the quality management system for the automotive sector.
This standard allows for a significant upgrade in process control systems and tools, as well as a greater focus on the customer in terms of quality and deliveries.
Specifically, the standard focuses on requirements such as:
- Identification of technical specifications and critical characteristics
- Risk analysis approach (FMEA)
- Advanced quality planning (APQP)
- New product approval process (PPAP)
- Development of control plans, statistical process controls, measurement system analysis (MSA)
- Predictive and preventive maintenance, laboratory compliance, management of non-conforming products, process and product audits, data analysis and problem-solving, corrective action impact, and emergency plan implementation.
Considering the complexity and importance of this certification, the path to obtaining it is no small feat. But here at SPL INDUSTRIES, we are very confident, and starting from September 2022, we will begin this journey, which we aim to complete by July 2025.
