An attentive and continually growing company pays particular importance to standards and regulations, which is why for us at SPL INDUSTRIES obtaining quality and safety certifications is certainly not an optional but a must.< /p>
And here, thanks to the hard work on the part of our. professionals in the month of October 2015 we acquired the first ISO 9001:2008 certificate relating to the quality management system, this has allowed us to raise the quality level in every aspect thanks to controls designed to guarantee the highest quality in supplies and a efficient and functional customer service.
Given the excellent results obtained, in October 2018 we worked to obtain the update of the standard, ISO 9001:2015.
We certainly don’t treat health and safety differently, in fact since September 2018 we have been working to acquire ISO 45001 certification, with the aim of completing it by December 2020.
This standard replaces the current OHSAS 18001, and has the aim of implementing an organizational system that allows the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases.
It includes some requirements such as: identifying risks associated with work activities, the development of an OSH policy and related objectives, implementation of preventive controls, evaluation and improvement of OSH indices and worker involvement.
Recently, we at SPL INDUSTRIES decided to include IATF 16949:2016, relating to the quality management system for the Automotive sector, in our “certification plan”.
This regulation allows a significant “upgrade” on process control systems and tools, as well as greater focus on the customer in terms of quality and deliveries.
Specifically, the standard focuses on some requirements such as:
-identification of technical specifications and critical characteristics;
-risk analysis approach (FMEA);
-advanced quality planning (APQP);
-new product approval process (PPAP);
-creation of control plans, statistical process controls, analysis of measurement systems (MSA);
-predictive and preventive maintenance, laboratory compliance, management of non-compliant products, process and product audits, data analysis and problem solving, impact of corrective actions and creation of emergency plans.
So given the complexity and importance of this certification, the path to obtaining it is certainly not a trivial matter, but we at SPL INDUSTRIES are very confident and as early as September 2019 we will begin this path, which we have set ourselves to reach by December 2021.
